Thinking about this deck (and I suppose most Tarot decks), it would be interesting to tie the four attributes (Psyche, Strength, Endurance, Warfare) to the four suits (Cups, Pentacles, Swords, Wands).
The most obvious connection would be Warfare = Swords. While a person could whack something with a Wand (Staff), a sword is clearly an object of War.
Strength = Wands Wands (or Staves) would be more appropriate for whacking things, and that sounds a lot like a Strength action. Also, we could think about a staff bending but not breaking, which could represent the strength of the wood.
How about Psyche = Pentacles. A bit more of a stretch since this deck uses "coins" or "disks" instead of pentacles, but the pentagram is supposed to represent magic so it seems most like Psyche.
Cups can be Endurance. This might seem like a bad fit, but if you think about Endurance in terms of starting out full of something and slowly using it up, we can think of the Cups analogy as starting it full of some fluid and slowly drinking or spilling that fluid. When the cup is empty, we run out of Endurance.
What do you think?
