I was at "Free RPG Day" and the local game shop and it's a wonderful thing. A dozen game companies get together and make quick-play versions of their game to give away and get people interested in the game. Then it hit me. What Amber Diceless needs is a free quick-play giveaway game. Oh, I know it's impossible right now with Phage Press out of business, Erick gone, and the DicelessByDesign new guys AWOL, but it would be a neat idea anyway. The ADRP basic rules are simple enough that it would be easy to put together a couple pages of rules for a quickplay game. Ah, if only I was in charge.....

Isn't there a LintKing Quick Amber rules or something like that? Or maybe someone could write up the basics and publish a free pamphlet to promote the game. Maybe have basic but not advanced powers, a pre-made attribute scale, limited Elders, and so on.

I have this idea about trying to put something together that strips away a lot of the setting but presents the "heart" of the diceless mechanic, but without the setting I'm not sure anyone would be that interested. I guess I'd rather avoid any legal issues with Zelazny's IP, but at the same time it would be nice to get something out there so that newcomers can find out a little bit about ADRP.
I had forgotten about the LINT KING file. I wonder how they can post it without anyone getting ticked off at them....
