Nothing has been created or announced yet about the actual text of Lords of Gossamer and Shadow, but we know that it's "powered" by Erick Wujcik's diceless engine.
I thought it would be interesting to explore this concept and think about what Erick's rules are, except that LoGaS can't use actual Amber terms so for the purpose of this thread neither should we.
I'll post some of mine and will be interested to see what you think.

I. General Character Creation
* Player characters are built on a 100-point model.
* Top NPCs typically are more like 300-400 points.

II. Attributes
* Attributes should be generated by auction.
* There should be four attributes (PSEW)
* There should be a "stair-step" model for attributes, with a typical step being flexible. (Ex: Step One, Step Two, Step Three, Ranked, Dominant.) Step three would be typical, "rankled" would be flexible levels above step three.

III. Powers
* There isn't a "class" based system, but instead a list of skills and powers to pick from.
* Powers tend to have a stair-step model, ranging from Basic to Advanced and perhaps Exalted.

IV. Items
* Items are cheaper than the power itself, but items can be temporarilly lost.
* Item costs use a double-pattern of 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32...

I like the 100-point model as a starting point, but I'm not sure how much you want to tie a GM down to a 300-400 point range for their NPCs. Why not give them any range they want, and why must NPCs be stronger tan PCs?
