Does anyone else find it hard to tell the difference between Basic, Advanced, and Exalted powers?
I mean, the list of Pattern powers (for example) makes it seem like pretty much everything can be done with basic Pattern. Then they add Advanced Pattern but I don't see that you gain much for another 25 points. And I can't find a write-up for Exalted Pattern anywhere.
Am I missing something here?

I don't think there are official write-ups for "Exalted" level powers anywhere. The only places I can recall finding Exalted stuff is in some of the information about the Elders.
Come to think of it, it is kind of strange that Erick Wujcik would mention something like that and not tell us what it means.

The thing is, if you're going to charge a lot of character points for something it should have some value. The "character build point" is a lot like currency of the ADRP and it serves as a check-balance system. If you pay for it, it should have clear and obvious value.

In my recent campaign I've tinkered with having standardized levels below and above those in the ADRP rulebooks: 1. Apprentice 2. Regular 3. Advanced 4. Exalted
While I'm not certain of the exact advantages and limitations of each, I was thinking that each layer would be effective against a similar layer of defense and progressively better/worse as the differences in layers became greater.
For example, Regular Pattern attacking a Regular Pattern Defense produces pretty much a stalemate, but overwhelms Apprentice Pattern Defense and is ineffective against Advanced or Exalted Pattern Defense.

My "basic powers" list might look something like this:
Conjuration 10 Apprentice 20 Regular 30 Advanced 40 Exalted
Logrus Mastery 20 Apprentice 45 Regular 70 Advanced 95 Exalted
Pattern Imprint 25 Apprentice 50 Regular 75 Advanced 100 Exalted
Shape Shifting 5 Apprentice 35 Regular 65 Advanced 95 Exalted Sorcery 5 Apprentice 15 Regular 25 Advanced 35 Exalted Trump Artistry 20 Apprentice 40 Regular 60 Advanced 80 Exalted

Funny how I was just tinkering with a system for partial powers and came up with something very similar to what I posted five years ago. I guess I should (a) develop a better memory, or (b) check here to see what I posted before I spend much time re-inventing the wheel. My newer concept was to use the Genesys RPG dice pool concept for ADRP. I'll post something about that soon.

Did you check out the way it's restructured on my site .. www.azer.co.uk/amber/Powers/13_pattern.htmlAll powers effectively get the same level of restructuring, which means you "buy" what you want.. It also means that if you need Shadowwalk+5 as a pre-requisite when Shadowwalk is a 5 point skill, the extra points reflect the fact that you've had to put effort into practicing it such that you can do it without thinking about it. Thus a character with Shadowwalk+5 can notionally traverse shadow quicker than a character with Shadowwalk. How much faster is down to the GM.

Very cool breakdown of basic-advanced-exalted. Lots of stuff to ponder there.
