Know of any good links to ADRP sites? This would be a good place to collect them. Here's a good one called The Official Amber DRPG and Erick Wujcik Fanforum. Erick used to post there as well. MaBerry’s Campaign Links is an excellent site, although sometimes it seems to move around on the web and gets lost. Also, here is an older link: MaBarry’s Old Mirror SiteMaBarry's has links to other pages with Powers, Campaigns, and so on. She also has pages with her favorites highlighted so you can find the best stuff in a hurry. ;D EDIT: Thanks to Arref for the updated linkage.

You've got the old mirror site linked.
For the latest MaBarry info organized in a wiki system that can be updated by all of us, see my sig. This forum is already listed there.

Hello everybody ! It's my first post on this forum and I'm really looking forward to discussing Amber Diceless ideas (including alternate rules etc) with other enthusiasts in a spirit of goodwill ;D. I've written down the alternate rules I have used for several years in my ongoing Amber Diceless campaign. They can be found here : amberway.free.fr/REBMA.htmlIt's essentially an alternate take on the Amber rules, developed for a campaign which used no auctions - it would have been quite difficult since it started as a solo (one player) saga anyway - and, as all other campaigns, was based on a personal interpretation of the Amberverse. I don't claim to have reinvented the wheel or even designed a "better system" - but one which works well for those who do not want to use attribute auctions while keeping the overall spirit of the ADRP rules - so I thought maybe it could interest some other folks here. Speaking of great links, one of my favorite Amber Diceless resources on the web is Tony Jones' excellent Amber page : www.wolfram.demon.co.uk/rp_amber_top.html... which featured many, many things all Amber-related, from different campaigns (some of them with very "variant" settings) - and tons of neat ideas that can be easily cannibalized or transformed to suit the needs or style of your campaigns.

Olegrand, I looked at your alternate rules and I like what I see! It's nice to see others who tinker with the rules to see what they come up with! :-)

This forum is already listed there. Wow. Somebody works pretty fast! Thanks for pointing out the old link, Arref, and I'll see if I can edit my original post to be more up-to-date. Also, while we're posting links, I should point out that Arref's own site is one of my favorites of all time. Particularly interesting are: (1) notes on his campaigns (2) his way of handling attributes, powers, and artifacts with plot values. Should be required reading.

I ponied up for my own domain names so it shouldn't run around much more. The whole of Sky Sea Stone . Net was oriented towards giving Amber players their own space, after all. I do check for new/bad campaign and power links on a fairly regular basis, but I haven't updated the "personal favourites," "character," or "quote" page links in, well, forever, if you're using internet time.

Sorry for the slow reply, but welcome to the boards. I've looked over both your core rules doc and your variant sorcery rules and see some interesting stuff therein. It might be interesting for you to start a thread specifically devoted to your rules set and see if anyone wants to discuss them!

What makes that site "official" anyways? Erick posted here a few times. Is this one official also? And I know that there were some other forums that Erick used to post alot more years ago. And Shadows of Amber (the old one, not the reboot) was alot more interesting in terms of the posts there. This "official" one seems to have alot of "let's change Amber to another game" people. How official can that be? I'm just askin'.

Not sure, exactly. I think that RPGPundit made an Amber section on his board and asked Erick "okay if I make this the offical one?" and Erick said it was okay.
I know that Shadows of Amber has been around a long time and I have posted there a lot longer than on Pundit's site. There used to be a couple of other Amber boards out there (Guardians of Order was big for a while and there was a group in Alaska (I think) where I used to post regularly) and some of them were also frequented by Erick.
I know that Pundit's site has several posters who don't like the ADRP rules but they are huge Amber fans. (I remember a couple of them from the GoO site.) I'm not quite sure why they hang out on an ADRP site if they don't like the system, but maybe they just like Amber and there aren't many places to talk Amber anymore.
Most of the Amber discussion on the web seems to have dried up, which is sad.
