ADRP states that contact between Pattern and Logrus is highly damaging to the Logrus user.
1. What evidence in the Zelazny books would support such a result?
2. What about the issue of game balance? Does this give the Logrus player an unfair disadvantage, and if so what could/should be done about it?

I think this gives a clear edge to Patter users, but actually ADRP is highly biased in favor of Pattern users. For example, I don't think there is any reason why "Amber" attribute should be so much better than "Chaos" attribute. And I don't remember offhand any reason why a Logrus person should get blasted by mere contact with something Pattern-based. Maybe I've missed something as well.

I have always thought that Logurus has some advantages. Able to rack spells on it, "reach" through shadow without having to travel and put yourself in peril, summon pure chaos. I think there is something about casting through the reaching tendrils as well... The only real danger for someone reaching for something with the Logrus is possibility of encountering something charged with pattern. (Yes if they are doing it in an unsafe place to begin with they might be attacked while they are concentrating.)
I would likely rule touching someone who has walked the pattern as a small concentration breaking jolt, and someone who has the pattern actively summoned in the mind a more sever shock.
